Farmhouse Elegant

The complete renovation and redesign of this 19th century farmhouse was a major undertaking. Before taking the existing house down to the studs and breaking ground on a new addition, careful consideration was made to seamlessly connect the old and new into one expansive home for this active family of four. With an eye towards respecting architectural details, the interior design plan called for an elegant yet functional overhaul.  Nowhere is that more apparent than in the primary suite, which was thoughtfully designed based on psychological principles of how people live and feel in different spaces. Throughout the home, rich textures pair with soothing colors, while pop art pieces contrast with more rustic elements. Proportional, custom millwork such as coffered ceilings and inset cabinetry juxtapose lively, hand blocked Galbraith & Paul and Farrow & Ball wall coverings. The result is a “just right” home with happy spaces to  work, play, entertain and relax.
