East Coast Meets West

The outdated interior design of this sprawling suburban home did not match the beauty of its exterior and natural surroundings. The spaces functioned well for the family and their large gatherings, but the interiors were in need of a thematic refresh. Harnessing a casual West Coast vibe, a creative blend of lines and curves was used to expertly incorporate the old while showcasing the new. Fresh colors, textures and forms were introduced, highlighted by modern light fixtures and carefully curated objets d’art to create visual appeal. Utilizing the Boston Design Center’s showrooms, such as F Schumacher & Co., cream Firework linen window treatments echo the pearl metallic wall coverings used in the powder room and dining room. The updated spaces now serve as a chic home base well suited for all elements of family living.
